By definition, my role as a conceptual fine artist is to investigate a “what if..” and report back.

Sometimes ‘what if..’s are innocuous, other times they are philosophically complex. Either way, it is my responsibility to relay the outcome of my investigations through artwork involving traditional or invented mediums that best illustrates my findings.

Empire

“Empire” is a proposed body of work that illustrates the difficulties of day-to-day function while in the throes of a new relationship. These Illustrations are viewed through the prism of different eyes and different walks of life.

Spatial Comprehension

“Spatial Comprehension” is a body of work that intends to act as a device that deepens an understanding of three-dimensional space within a two-dimensional medium.

Theologic Reconstitution

“Theologic Reconstitution” is a series of paintings that explores the concept of updating, and modernizing the imagery that was commonly associated with greek, renaissance, or medieval period prose.

Colorstudy

Exploring wild, overflowing abstraction with a specific level of containment, the paradoxical series “Colorstudy” seeks to use uniform, sharply defined, three-dimmensional objects to express the full value of a general color.

Plain Experience

“Plain Experience” is a play on words in this body, which utilizes monolithic objects as absurdly scaled obstacles for highly detailed, hyper-realistic characters.

Retirement Home

A derivative body, “Retirement Home” simply illustrates various dreamscapes in which one may see themselves growing old. The intrigue behind this body stems less from the locale itself, but rather the source materiale behind the derivation.

Blue On Saddle

More a social experiment, “Blue On Saddle” stems from social acquaintances demanding a place in my portfolio. Freely imaginative and surreal, this body lacks the uniform structure of the other bodies.

Motionstudy

“Motionstudy” is similar to “Spatial Comprehension” and “Colorstudy”, in that it explores a specific facet of the graphic arts in an almost academic manner. The main difference is an exaggerated sense of motion and speed that allows the viewer see curious contortion of physical beings.
